2005 GENERAL RULES

    1. Management & race director reserves the right to reject or allow the entry of any car and/or driver.
    2. Drivers, owners, and/or crew members have no claims against management or any official due to disqualification or damage to drivers or equipment resulting in an altercation arising from unsportsman-like conduct on behalf of drivers, owners, and/or crew members.
    3. No intoxicating beverages, narcotics, or illegal substances are to be consumed and/or used by anyone. (Drivers, Crew or Spectators).
    4. No firearms or weapons of any kind are allowed on the premises of Scenic Raceway.
    5. Verbal, physical abuse and/or racial remarks to any official or entrant on premises are strictly prohibited, and will subject offender(s) to possible suspension and definite ejection.
    6. Whenever it is deemed dangerous, unsafe, or unjustified to continue any racing event, it may be stopped at any point by the discretion of the race director.
    7. The officials will determine all finishing positions. “Their Decisions are Final.”
    8. No driver or crewmember shall interfere with the flagman at any time.
    9. No driver or pit crewmembers allowed on the Track at any time! If it occurs Driver will be disqualified for the night!
    10. Any one driving reckless will be barred from Scenic Raceway for the remainder of the season.
    11. All engines will be shut off during the national anthem and participants are asked to remove their hats and face our flag.
    12. Before entering any racing competition, drivers must complete a registration form and an IRS form W-9 (filled out and returned to management). Copies on Request. Must have a W-9 on file before payment of prize money.
    13. All pit entrants, must sign a voluntary waiver and release from liability and indemnity agreement, and pay for and receive an authorized pit pass. This adult release and waiver of liability form is for a participant age 18, or older, entering the pit are or driving in an event.
    14. Minors in restricted pit area (age 17 & under) must have Parental Consent, Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement forms. Both parents should sign a parental consent form for their child entering the pit area or driving in an event. If the parents are separated, or divorced, a notarized form is required. Forms are available upon request. The minor signs the minor release, never the adult release.
    15. Make absolutely sure you keep your authorized pit pass. In the event of a rainout the pit pass is the only means by which you will be allowed admittance on the rescheduled date.
    16. Anyone caught illegally entering pits and cannot produce an authorized pit pass will be immediately ejected from the track. (Management reserves the right to ask for proof of admission at any time.)
    17. A rainout will be declared when not more than one half of the first feature event has been completed. After that point, no rain checks will be issued. Any feature with ½ + laps completed will be paid according to the way they are running when rained out.
    18. Pay-off procedure: Only owners and/or drivers may pick up prize monies. Be prepared to show proper ID if asked. This is to make sure that the right parties receive what is due to them. Protest as to finishing positions must be presented to the Pay off Official within five (5) minutes after race results are posted. Race results will be posted for five (5) minutes before any prize money is awarded. Prize money left unclaimed over 30 days will become the property of Scenic Raceway.
    19. Pit stewards must be notified of any driver changes made. Car must start on tail.
    20. No driver is to drive more than one car per night in the race. Driver may hot lap or practice 2 or more cars if ready when called up.
    21. Rule changes and/or additions will be post immediately, as soon as they become available.
    22. Scenic Raceway requires shoes and shirts to be worn in pit area at all times.
    23. NO COOLERS ALLOWED IN GRANDSTANDS! Coolers 14” or less are permitted in Tier Parking and Pit areas only. All coolers are subject to be checked.
    24. A participant suspended or ejected from competing or attending Scenic Raceway will be suspended for one (1) RACE EVENT. Within the next (5) days the racing director and management personal will meet and decide if additional suspension is necessary, the participant will be notified by certified letter.
    25. A participant is any person taking part in any form.
    26. An event is a night of racing.
    27. Track management reserves the right to update, modify, add to or delete any part of this rulebook at any time without prior notifications.
