PURE STREET SPECIFICATIONS

1. American rear wheel drive cars only. 108” wheel base.

2. Weight – 3,500 lbs. NO BURNOFF.

3. All sheet metal must remain stock or be stock appearing. Must have full stock firewall and floor pan. Stock bumpers only. Stock or stock appearing rear-ends only. NO bump bars front or rear. NO bump or crash bars on outside.

4. Must have full roll cage. Roll cage must include three bars in driver’s door and two bars in passenger’s door. Roll cage must be welded in or securely bolted to frame.

5. Minimum four-point racing and seat belt harness, no older than 3 years. Must be secured to frame and roll cage.

6. Stock frame only. Must be full frame except Chryslers. All steering and control arms must be stock. Stock springs front or rear (or rear leaf). One shock per wheel. NO racing shocks. NO coil over anywhere on car. OEM passenger car rear-ends only. No gear ratio lower than 3.42 may be used. Engine must be pure stock. No interchanging, cutting or hulling except for roll cage installation. All glass and stock plastic light covers must be removed. No sports cars (i.e. Camaros, Mustangs, etc.). Four ½ inch steel bars must be welded at driver’s side windshield area.

7. Transmissions – Automatics only. Must have all gears. Reverse must be a working gear. Automatic transmission must have a working converter (11” diameter minimum). No valves or pedals on automatic cars. No RAM couplers or direct drives.

8. Engine – Stock engines only. No racing or performance parts allowed. Maximum of .040 overbore allowed. No Holley carburetors. Ignition must be point or electronic. NO MAGS. Stock carburetors only. No reworking or cutting allowed. No spacers allowed. No headers allowed.

9. Tires—Hoosier A-40, D40 or H40. Tire markings cannot be covered or defaced in any manner.

10. Fuel – GAS ONLY. Fuel cells and fire suits are required. Fuel cells and gas tanks must be double strapped. Gas tanks must be cross strapped in addition to double strapping

11. Eight (8) inch wheels or beadlock. Racing wheels allowed.

MUST CHECK TRACK RULES FOR VEHICLE GUIDELINES!!

*Fewer than 10 cars in the class will result in the purse being cut one (1) position. Fewer than 5 cars, the purse will be cut two (2) positions.

Engine Claim Rule

1. To claim you must on the lead lap and finish in the top five.
2. Total engine claim $550 and the claimer’s engine. $500 goes to the driver claimed and $50 to the track.
3. Claim does not include headers and flywheel.
4. First time driver refuses to sell, driver will lose all winnings and points for the night and loses his right to claim for the rest of the racing season.
5. Second time a driver refuses to sell, driver loses all points for the year and will be barred for two weeks.
